Our Rapid City Schools is a community blog focused on education issues in Rapid City, South Dakota. It is edited by Eric Abrahamson, a long-time volunteer in the Rapid City Area Schools and former member of the Board of Education. Everyone in the community, including parents, students, staff, administrators and community members, is invited to contribute ideas and information. Our goal is to promote a constructive community conversation. Disagreements over philosophy and strategy are welcome; personal attacks on individuals are not.  If we focus on solutions, we can invigorate a passion for excellence in education.
